ABOUT
Tonia T. Sanzone was deeply loved by many, and her legacy speaks for itself. For over 55 years, she dedicated her life to Educating Children and guiding parents on how to nurture their children into successful adults. Her unwavering commitment to education left a lasting impact on countless families.
Tonia served as an educator and principal at Bethel Lutheran School in Chicago’s North Lawndale community for more than 40 years, shaping young minds with wisdom, patience, and compassion. She later continued her teaching journey at Holy Family School, where she made a profound impact as a Kindergarten Teacher.
In addition to her Professional Career, Tonia worked part-time at Radio Shack and Women’s Workout World to support herself and her beloved son, Toriano, during their years together in Chicago and Bellwood.
She was a devoted mother who worked tirelessly to provide and ensure a bright future for her child.
Beyond her passion for education, Tonia had a deep love for dogs, treating them as part of her family. She and her dear friend Julia raised Afghan Hounds in Bellwood, beginning in 1978—a time filled with joy, companionship, and, of course, a few humorous warnings from her mother: "Mother told me that I better not bring any more dogs home."
Today, we gather to honor and celebrate the life of Tonia T. Sanzone.
We invite you to share your cherished memories and stories, as we come together to remember a remarkable woman whose kindness, dedication, and love touched so many lives.
Thank you for being here to celebrate her legacy.
